Select a numbered region. Compare its three enlarged crops, then use the sharpest plane. Assemble all 16 regions and inspect the composite. Aim for 90% detail fidelity. Edges should remain crisp; heavy seam softening sacrifices detail.

Look for fine veins, hairs and sharp edges. Each crop shows the same region at a different focal plane.
The plane with stronger real pixel detail is usually best. Compare visually before selecting. Selected crops are outlined in copper.
